This 1978

 In 1978, we did it like this:

 


We tied knots in ropes, like this;

  



Our hands were grimy and rough, like this;



We hauled sheets up on to the load and roped them, like this;

With a fly-sheet on top, like this;



Not roped, so water was thrown off, like this;







And on cold mornings we coaxed those bloody Gardners into life, like this.
